On June 15, Romanians will run at the First Charity Superhero Race in Romania, organized by OSCAR Downstream in Herastrau Park
OSCAR Downstream, the largest independent fuel distribution company in Romania, launches Run for Heroes – fueled by OSCAR, a campaign to raise awareness and eliminate stigma related to mental health, carried out together with the Social Center for Psychotherapy THH (Together for Humanity).
Romanians are invited to register for the charity cross organized on June 15, in Herastrau Park in Bucharest. The funds obtained from the registration fee will be donated in full to the Center, which provides free counseling and therapy services to people and families in difficulty.
"Run for Heroes wants to make a difference in a fight that, in one form or another, each of us is fighting," said Nicolae Banica, CEO of OSCAR Downstream. "In a competitive and ever-alert society, we have little awareness of how fragile mental health can be. We have all faced or know people who have gone through episodes of depression or anxiety, burnout, stress, difficult relationships or traumas that leave their mark on personal and professional life. It is time to speak openly about these conditions and these heroes – people who face daily not only their own wounds, but also stereotypes, discrimination and social prejudices. We invite Romanians to be Superheroes for one day and run with us, on June 15, for this noble cause."
"The Run for Heroes event is more than just a race; It is a symbol of recognition and appreciation for our everyday heroes. For us, this initiative, through which the community unites to honor and support the brave people who cross our threshold at the Social Center for Psychotherapy, is a dream come true", said Razvan Popa, President of the Social Center for Psychotherapy THH
Knowing that sport reduces stress hormones in the body, the humanitarian cross Run for Heroes – fueled by OSCAR will organize races for all categories of participants.
Endurance runners can participate in the 7Km race around Herastrau Lake, with the starting point at Roaba de Cultura.
Families with children under the age of 16 will run together over a distance of 1Km Parents and Children. Participants can come dressed in superhero costumes to create unforgettable memories for children and adults alike. If there is no superhero costume at home, we have prepared many variants of accessories for each participant.
People with disabilities can participate free of charge in the 1Km race People with disabilities, on a route adapted to their needs, which ensures accessibility and comfort.
Information on participation in the Run for Heroes – Fueled by OSCAR humanitarian cross, as well as details of the organization and registration fees are available on the campaign website - https://www.runforheroes.ro.
