
Alfa Foundation for Health and Education supports Top Medical Education: 7th International Congress for Medical Students and Young Doctors
Alfa Foundation for Health and Education is the main sponsor of the 7th edition of the International Medical Students' Congress of Bucharest (IMSCB), a major event in the field of medical education, held on 6-10 December in Bucharest.
With over 700 participants, including students and medical professionals from Romania and abroad, the congress offers an extraordinary platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, integrating 5 conferences, 100 workshops, over 15 roundtables and 6 keynote lectures with internationally renowned lecturers. The event will also include a large scientific fair with a wide range of projects and research opportunities.
Speakers include Prof. Dr. David J. Langer, Dr. Allison Vest, Dr. Mike Lloyd, Dr. Ana Margarida Neves and Prof. Dr. Tammam Youssef. Prof. Dr. David J. Langer is an American neurosurgeon, Chairman of the Section of Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, Professor of Neurosurgery and Radiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead, New York. He has produced two docu-series on a well-known online streaming platform - Lenox Hill (2020) and Emergency: NYC (2023). Dr. Allison Vest is a renowned anaplastologist who became popular thanks to a reality show that aired on an American television channel. Dr. Vest completed her medical training by pursuing a master's program in medical visualization at the College of Allied Health at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she learned how to combine art with biology and material science, allowing her to provide patients with exceptional care.
The International Medical Students' Congress of Bucharest - IMSCB is the largest congress organized by the Medical Students' Society of Bucharest (SSMB) with the support of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy ,,Carol Davila" (UMFCD), dedicated to medical students from all over the world.
IMSCB is an annual project that aims to contribute to the development of medical education, bringing together over 200 members of the organising team, hundreds of medical students and doctors of national and international prestige.
Isabella Mindea, President of the IMSCB Congress, underlines the importance of the event: "Every year we try to improve the participants' experience by diversifying the topics addressed, in order to provide multidisciplinary knowledge applicable in their academic and professional path."
