OSCAR Downstream is pleased to announce a new partnership with Gala Gândit în România, which will foster innovation in business, science and culture
OSCAR Downstream, the largest independent fuel distribution company in Romania and a leader in innovation in its field, is proud to sponsor the Gala Gândit in Romania for the third consecutive year. This event, organised by the Teofor Education Association, celebrates the elites of Romania.
The Gândit în România project is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalisation, the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, the Romanian Academy of Scientists and the National Museum of Romanian Literature. It rewards outstanding individuals from Romania who have made significant contributions to the cultural, scientific and business sectors.
”OSCAR Downstream has been a proud supporter of Mr. Mihai Vișinescu and his Gândit în România initiative since the project's inception in 2022. We align with the values and vision that Mr. Vișinescu espouses, and we are pleased to witness the growth of Gândit în România year on year. As Romanian society becomes increasingly aware of the pivotal role that education, innovation and local talent play in our collective future, we are confident that the work being done by Mr. Vișinescu and his team will continue to make a meaningful impact,” said Nicolae Bănică, CEO of OSCAR Downstream.
Every year, we give the Gândit în România award in the Bizinvent category, which rewards business innovation. This category represents us because OSCAR Downstream has been innovating for over 23 years in a competitive field. It's a winning strategy that helped us grow and become a fuel market leader in Romania.
Luiza Dumitru, Communication & Marketing Director of OSCAR Downstream, adds: "When we launched our sustainability platform #RomâniaTotÎnainte, we reiterated OSCAR Downstream's commitment to the three pillars that, in our view, are essential for a sustainable future - education, health and the environment. Every year, Gândit în România grows an elite community that puts education first and offers young generations exceptional value models and benchmarks. It is an honor for us to support this unique initiative in Romania and we congratulate all the winners this year. Their performance in fields so diverse and equally representative of Romanian society inspires us all and generates an important added value for our country brand".
The Gândit în România 2024 edition is dedicated to Victor Babeș, one of the founders of the Romanian school of microbiology.
